Sambalpur: A 45-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to rape a 9-yr-old girl inside the bathroom. The incident was reported from Sambalpur district.
According to reports, the accused, identified as Alekh Sahoo, lured the nine-year-old girl while she was plucking flowers on Saturday morning. The accused then took her to his bathroom, where he allegedly tried to outraged her modesty.
However, the victim managed to escape from the spot and narrated the ordeal to her family members.
Later, the family members of the victim lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Based on the plaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused for further interrogation into the matter.
