A team of the Forest Department led by Karanjia Forest Officer Srikant Naik seized a leopard skin and apprehended six persons involved in the wildlife contraband smuggling.
Today, at around 12 noon, a raid was conducted in Naik Sahi of Mandua village, Rasmatala Panchayat, Karanjia block and a leopard skin was seized from one of them. After that, the cops detained 2 accused from Kudarsahi, one from Champrai, and 2 accused from Thakurmunda.
Police are continuing their investigation to ascertain more details.
