Koraput: Koraput police have successfully seized 325 kilograms of ganja and arrested two individuals in connection with the case. The arrested individuals have been identified as Guru Khora of Similiguda police station area in Koraput district and Rohit Jena of Jhadabandh under Gangapur police station in Ganjam district.
According to reports, the accused were illegally transporting ganja from Jalaput to Berhampur in a Bolero vehicle. Acting on specific intelligence, the police conducted a raid near Godiput Chhak under Badel Gram Panchayat and intercepted the vehicle. During the operation, the two accused were apprehended, and the Bolero along with the ganja was seized.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police are also conducting raids at various locations to apprehend other individuals involved in the case.
This seizure marks another significant achievement in the efforts of the Koraput Police to curb the illegal drug trade in the region.
