Bhubaneswar: As many as 7756 number of 5G BTS have been installed across Odisha, out of which Jio has installed the maximum 6345 number of 5G BTS, followed by Airtel with just 1411, according to data provided by DoT.
Khordha district witnessed the maximum 1356 5G BTS deployment including 1124 by Jio and 232 by Airtel. Cuttack has total 792 5G BTS deployed in the district which includes 710 by Jio and 82 by Airtel.
Similarly, 542 5G BTS have been deployed in Ganjam, followed by 514 5G BTS installed in Sundargarh district. While Jio has installed 420 5G BTS in Ganjam and 448 in Sundergarh, Airtel has installed 122 and 66 respectively.
Out of 444 5G BTS deployed in Balasore, Jio has 356 followed by Airtel with 88. In Jajpur district, Jio has deployed 318 5G BTS followed by Airtel with 87, while in Puri district Jio has deployed 282 5G BTS, followed by Airtel with 65.
Jio has deployed 252 out of 317 5G BTS in Angul and 200 out of total 254 5G BTS deployed in Sambalpur district. Of the 256 5G BTS in Bhadrak, Jio has 206 and Airtel has 50.
Similarly, in Keonjhar Jio has 226 5G BTS followed by 27 of Airtel. As per the data, Jio is the only telecom operator having 5G network presence in all districts of Odisha.
