Bhubaneswar: US-based Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued a threatening mail to disrupt the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas-2025 scheduled to be held on January 8 in Bhubaneswar.
Pannun has sent mail along with a video message to journalist Akshay Sahoo threatening to disrupt the mega event which is being organised in Odisha for the first time.
However, no complaint has been filed in this regard with the police.
In November 2024, Pannu had sent threatening emails to disrupt the DGP/IG Conference held in Bhubaneswar. The emails were sent to Akshay Sahu in Odia and English.
In his email sent on Friday, Pannu has warned that he would make efforts to disrupt the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas even anywhere between the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar to Janata Maidan – the main venue of the event.
President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and dignitaries from abroad are scheduled to attend the three-day event.
