Two Class III students were seriously injured after being struck by a speeding Bolero vehicle in Keonjhar district.
The accident occurred near Birsa Munda Club and Mosque Road in the residential colony of Bolani Township under Bolani police limits.
Local residents rushed to the scene and transported the injured students to the Bolani Cell Hospital. Due to the severity of their condition, they were later shifted to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital for advanced treatment.
The entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, revealing the horrifying moment of impact. Eyewitnesses claim that the Bolero was being driven by a minor, accompanied by two other underage passengers. Police have launched an investigation based on CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, although the identity of the driver and vehicle owner remains unconfirmed at the time of reporting.
This incident has intensified demands from the local community for the immediate arrest of the driver and stricter enforcement against underage and stunt driving, which has reportedly become a growing concern in Bolani Township.
