Odisha Vigilance officers conduct disproportionate assets (DA) searches at six locations linked to Jitendra Kumar Jena, Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Bancho GP under Hatadihi Block, Keonjhar district.
On December 30, 2025, Vigilance teams led by four DSPs and eight Inspectors launched simultaneous searches based on warrants issued by the Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Keonjhar. The operation targets allegations of disproportionate assets against Jena.
Officials entered his residential triple-storied building at Biranchipur, Mareigaon, Hatadihi. They inspected a newly constructed double-storeyed market complex at Jagannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar. The team also searched two rented godowns of Maa Saraswati Sales at Basantia Bazar.
Investigators examined his electronics shop, “Saraswati Sales” at Bidyadharpur. They moved to his paternal house at Padhiaripalli village in Hatadihi. Finally, they checked his office at Bancho GP under Hatadihi Block.
The Vigilance operation continues as officers document findings from each property. The searches aim to uncover evidence of disproportionate assets and financial irregularities. Officials expect further updates as the investigation progresses.

During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Jena and his family members;
1. One triple-storeyed building with an area of 3300 sq ft. located over plot No.408/2390/6388 located at Biranchipur, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
2. One newly constructed double-storeyed market complex with an area of 5000 sq ft. at Jagannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
3. Two Nos. of rented godown of Maa Saraswati Sales, at Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
4. One electronics shop, “Saraswati Sales” at Bidyadharpur.
5. 6 Nos. of plots, including 3 at Chandia, Biranchipur, Hatadihi & 3 in Jagannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar. Details are under:
i) Two plots vide No.468/1138 & 468/1142/1159, Khata No.394/227 with area Ac 0.03 dcml. at Chandia, Biranchipur, Hatadihi.
ii) One plot vide No.486/114, Khata No.394/86 with area Ac 0.14 dcml. at Chandia, Biranchipur, Hatadihi.
iii) One plot vide No.384, Khata No.70 with area Ac 0.06 dcml. at Agannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
iv) One plot vide No.385, Khata No.175 with area Ac 0.28 dcml. at Jagannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
v) One plot vide No.384, Khata No.189/160 with area Ac 0.06 dcml. at Jagannathpur mouza, Basantia Bazar, Hatadihi, Keonjhar.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/market complex/plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
6. Gold approx 100 gms.
7. Bank, Postal deposits and other investments, etc., are being ascertained.
8. 1 four-wheeler (Maruti Ertiga) and 2 two-wheelers.
