New Delhi: Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday extended a warm welcome to 250 Indian students after their safe return from the war-hit Ukraine via Romania’s Bucharest and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in touch with Ukrainian President.
Shortly after the flight arrived at the India Gandhi International Airport at 2:45 am, a warm welcome awaited the passengers as Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia gave them roses. A video of the minister interacting with the passengers inside the plane shows the 51-year-old leader giving them a spirted message.
Taking to Twitter, Scindia wrote, “Joyous homecoming! Relieved & delighted to see 250 Indians safely return from Ukraine on the Air India flight at the Delhi Airport. Received & interacted with them along with my colleague Sh V Muraleedharan Ji. Welcome back! #Operation Ganga.”
