Odisha Vigilance has made a significant breakthrough in its anti-corruption drive with the arrest of Suryamani Pattajoshi, Executive Officer of Jatni Municipality, Khurda district.
The arrest comes as part of Vigilance Cell PS case No. 3/2025, initiated after discovering disproportionate assets (DA) far beyond his known sources of income.
Searches revealed extensive holdings, including four luxurious flats in Bhubaneswar, two multi-storeyed buildings in Berhampur, 11 plots of land, Rs 17 lakh in cash, gold ornaments weighing approximately 475 grams, and deposits exceeding Rs 90 lakh. Pattajoshi was unable to account for these assets satisfactorily, leading to his arrest.
He is slated to be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, later today. This case underscores Odisha Vigilance’s commitment to rooting out corruption and enforcing accountability in public service.
