Bhubaneswar: After attending the swearing-in of the BJP-led government in Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed it a historic day in the state and congratulated the new Chief Minister, Deputy CMs, and ministers.
“It’s a historic day in Odisha! With the blessings of my sisters and brothers of Odisha, the BJP is forming its first-ever government in the state.
I attended the swearing-in ceremony in Bhubaneswar. Congratulations to Shri Mohan Charan Majhi on taking oath as CM and to Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo as well as Smt. Pravati Parida on taking oath as Deputy CMs. Congratulations also to the others who took oath as Ministers.
With the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, I am confident this team will usher in record development in Odisha and improve the lives of countless people,” PM Modi wrote on X.
After reaching Bhubaneswar airport at around 2.10 p.m., PM Modi went to the Raj Bhawan, the residence of the Odisha Governor. Later, the Prime Minister reached the venue and attended the swearing-in ceremony of BJP’s first chief minister in Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, two Deputy CMs, KV Singh Deo & Pravati Parida, and other cabinet ministers.
PM Modi also spoke to former Odisha CM and BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik after the swearing-in ceremony of the new government concluded.
