The crash occurred when the Boeing 737-800 aircraft skidded off the runway and collided with a concrete structure, bursting into flames. Emergency responders have been working tirelessly to recover bodies and provide support to the victims’ families.
South Korea’s acting president, Choi Sang-mok, held an emergency meeting with cabinet members to coordinate rescue operations and ensure comprehensive support for the bereaved families. “The entire government is working closely together to manage the aftermath of the accident, dedicating all available resources, while making every effort to ensure thorough support for the bereaved families,” Choi stated.
