India and Israel signed a series of agreements and memorandums of understanding during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two‑day state visit to Jerusalem.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joined Modi as the two leaders witnessed the signing ceremony.
Foreign Ministers Gideon Sa’ar and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar formalised pacts covering agricultural innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, satellite data, irrigation, pest control, greenhouse cultivation, and advanced technologies. The agreements also included a cultural exchange MoU and the establishment of the India‑Israel Innovation Centre for Agriculture.
Israel’s Energy and Infrastructure Minister and Jaishankar signed an MoU on geophysical exploration. Another agreement focused on collaboration for the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal. In emerging technologies, Israel’s Minister of Science and Technology and Jaishankar signed a declaration on horizon scanning. Fisheries and aquaculture cooperation also featured in the list of agreements.
Education gained prominence with a pact to advance learning through artificial intelligence, signed by Israel’s Minister of Education and Jaishankar. The report of the 4th India‑Israel CEO Forum was presented, highlighting industry collaboration. Implementation protocols were concluded under existing agreements in commerce, services, manufacturing, and hospitality.
Key outcomes included a Letter of Intent for a Cyber Centre of Excellence and an MoU linking India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with Israel’s Masav system. Additional agreements covered commercial arbitration, financial services cooperation, and artificial intelligence collaboration.
