In Bahrain, Owaisi Calls Pakistan a ‘Failed State’, Urges Global Action Against Terror Funding

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, speaking during a diplomatic visit to Bahrain, described Pakistan as a “failed state” and called for unified international efforts to hold it accountable for supporting terrorism.


Owaisi was part of an all-party Indian delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, aiming to convey India’s stance on cross-border terrorism.

“Our government, media, and defence forces responded with precision to neutralize everything launched by a failed state like Pakistan,” Owaisi stated, referencing India’s air defence and technological capabilities. He warned Pakistan that any future “misadventure” would be met with far stronger consequences.

Owaisi urged Bahrain’s government to condemn Pakistan’s role in terror financing and support India’s appeal to reinstate Pakistan on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list. “This money is being used to fund terrorism. We hope Bahrain joins us in calling out this danger,” he said.

He stressed that despite political differences at home, India stands united on national security. “There is unanimity when it comes to the country’s integrity,” Owaisi remarked.

Highlighting the tragic April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir—which killed 26 civilians, many of them tourists—Owaisi laid blame squarely on Pakistan. “Unless Pakistan stops aiding and sponsoring terror groups, this problem won’t go away,” he said. Sharing heartbreaking stories of victims, Owaisi appealed to the global community to recognize the human toll of terrorism emanating from across the border.

The Indian delegation to Bahrain included MPs from multiple parties: Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Ambassador Harsh Shringla, alongside Owaisi and Baijayant Panda.

The visit marks part of India’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to mobilize global support against Pakistan’s terror networks and reassert India’s commitment to regional and global security.
