Cuttack: Police have seized a huge cache of ganja and arrested two persons in this connection at 42 Mouza of Cuttack on Saturday.
The arrestees have been identified as Narayan Pati (44) from Jhinkiria, PS-42 Mouza and Abakash Swain(34) of Sumada village under Balikuda police station limits in Jagatsinghpur district.
Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at the house of a ganja trader in 42 Mouza and seized a huge cache of ganja and Rs 75.20 lakh two mobile phones and gold ornaments from their possession.
According to reports, there are several pending cases at different police stations against the accused, police said.
Following this, the cops arrested the ganja trader and his aide in this connection.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the IPC and the accused were forwarded to court. Further investigation is underway in this regard, police said.
