Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health & Family Welfare Minister Niranjan Pujari on Monday inaugurated the State Vaccine Store at Niladri Vihar in Bhubaneswar.
The State Vaccine Store is well equipped with adequate space for the safe storage of Routine Immunization vaccines at recommended temperatures and other logistics.
Commissioner cum Secretary, Health & FW, Smt Shalini Pandit, IAS, MD, NHM, Odisha, MD, OSMCL, DFW, DHS, Odisha, Chief Of Field Office, UNICEF, Odisha, Directors & officials of Health & FW Dept and officials from WHO, UNICEF, UNDP were present.
Also, Minister Pujari today inaugurated a new printing press of the Health Department at Kharvela Nagar in Bhubaneswar. This new automatic multi-colour printing machine can print about 13,000 multi-colour posters per hour and can produce a variety of high-quality printing materials in less time with less power consumption.
As a part of a life-saving measure and to increase voluntary blood collection in remote areas of Odisha, an additional two fully-fabricated Mobile Blood Collection Vans have been procured by Odisha State Medical Corporation Limited (OSMCL) at the total cost of Rs 1,09,43,400 for DHH, Bhadrak & DHH, Kalahandi. Today, the Health Minister flagged off these two vans in the presence of Commissioner-cum-Sectretary, HFW, and other senior officers of the department.
