In a momentous ceremony held at the Orissa High Court premises in Cuttack, Justice Harish Tandon was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court on March 26, 2025.
Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati administered the oath of office in the presence of prominent dignitaries, including Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, other cabinet ministers, high court judges, members of the Bar Association, and legal fraternity luminaries.
Justice Tandon, who has a distinguished legal career, has served as a permanent judge of the Calcutta High Court since April 2010. A graduate of Calcutta University, Justice Tandon’s vast experience in civil and constitutional matters and dedication to justice are widely recognized.
This appointment marks a new chapter for Odisha’s judiciary, with Justice Tandon bringing decades of expertise and integrity to his leadership role.
