Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple, Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji Temple, in Navi Mumbai today. During the inauguration, PM Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to working with dedication and a spirit of service.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for being part of the inauguration, stating, “Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji Temple is being inaugurated on this great land of knowledge and devotion, with the efforts of ISKCON. I am fortunate that I am getting the blessings of playing a role in this divine inauguration”.
PM Modi admired the temple’s design, which reflects the tradition of spirituality and knowledge. He highlighted the temple’s potential to become a holy center for enriching India’s faith and consciousness.
In his speech, PM Modi mentioned the continuous work of the government in the interest of the country’s people, citing initiatives such as the construction of toilets in every house, providing Ujjwala gas connections to poor women, and ensuring tap water facilities and free medical treatment for the underprivileged.
He also spoke about the ‘Krishna circuit,’ aimed at connecting various pilgrimage and religious sites across India.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, and BJP MP Hema Malini.
