New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Buta Singh breathed his last today. He was 86.
As per reports, Singh was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), where he was in a state of comatose after suffering a brain hemorrhage. However, he passed away at around 5.30 am today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief and extended his condolences to the senior leader’s family.
“Shri Buta Singh Ji was an experienced administrator and effective voice for the welfare of the poor as well as downtrodden. Saddened by his passing away. My condolences to his family and supporters,” PM Modi tweeted.
