Bhubaneswar: Former Director General of Police (DGP) for Odisha and retired IPS officer Sarat Chandra Mishra passed away on Tuesday.
Mishra was receiving medical care at a hospital after contracting dengue. He was 88.
Mishra, an IPS officer from the 1959 batch, had a lengthy career in the Research and Analysis Wing (R & AW). After retiring from the military, he dedicated the rest of his life to reading, writing, and education.
Reportedly, his brother Bipin Bihari Mishra informed about his dismissal.
