Rajasthan: Five individuals have been rescued from the Kolihan Mine after the lift collapsed on Tuesday in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan.
As per reports, a total of 14 people were trapped inside after the chain of a life they were using broke and the life collapsed. The evacuated people have been referred to the Jaipur Hospital.
The incident took place late at night on Tuesday at Hindustan Copper Limited’s copper mine when a lift collapsed with individuals trapped inside it. Around 11 people are still trapped inside.
Based on initial details, the surveillance team, accompanied by high-ranking officials from the state-owned enterprise were in the elevator. They went to the mine for inspection. As they were preparing to ascend, a rope supporting the shaft or ‘cage’ snapped, resulting in approximately 14 individuals becoming trapped, as stated by the police.
