A fire broke out near the runway of Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar today, and it immediately sparked concern among officials and passengers.
The blaze started in a grassy stretch close to the runway, but the airport’s fire services team quickly brought it under control. Eyewitnesses saw flames spreading through dry grass on the premises, and fire tenders rushed to the spot to contain the blaze before it escalated further.
Soon after, the Airport Director confirmed that no damage occurred and flight operations continued without interruption. Moreover, authorities launched an investigation to determine how the fire ignited in the dry grass.
Although the exact cause remains unclear, officials assured that safety measures were promptly enforced to prevent any disruption. As a result, the situation returned to normal, and passengers resumed their travel without difficulty.
