New Delhi: The tickets sale for the season opener of the FIH Hockey Men’s Pro League 2022-2023, where India will take on Spain and New Zealand in double-header matches, began today.
Tickets can be booked online at www.ticketgenie.in official ticketing partner for the matches in India. It’s good news for hockey lovers as the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium opens its doors to full-capacity for the first time in two years.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome all the hockey fans to watch the FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-2023 matches which will be held in the Kalinga Hockey Stadium. With covid-19 restrictions being lifted, we are expecting full-capacity as hockey fans have missed watching live action. These matches against Spain and New Zealand will serve as a precursor to the upcoming FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar-Rourkela 2023 and we look forward to welcoming the visiting teams,” stated Padmashri Dr Dilip Tirkey, President, Hockey India.
For India matches, tickets are priced at Rs 100 for North and South stand, Rs 200 for East stand and Rs 500 for West stand. For non-India matches, tickets are priced at Rs 50 for North and South stand, Rs 100 for East stand and Rs 200 for West stand.
India will begin their FIH Hockey Men’s Pro League 2022-2023 campaign on 28th October with their first match against New Zealand, followed by the second match on 30th October against Spain. New Zealand and Spain too will take on each other on 29th October.
On the following week, India will play their second tie against New Zealand on 4th November and play Spain on 6th November. Spain and New Zealand will battle it out again on 5th November. All matches will be held at 1900 hours.
