FIFA introduced Trionda, the official match ball for the 2026 World Cup, in New York. Adidas designed the ball, continuing its legacy since the 1970 tournament.
Trionda reflects the unity of host nations—United States, Mexico, and Canada. The ball features red, blue, and green colors inspired by each country’s national symbols. Maple leaves, eagles, and stars decorate the surface to honor the hosts.
🛰️ Technology Meets Tradition
Trionda includes deep seams for improved flight stability during matches. Embossed icons enhance grip in wet or humid conditions. A motion sensor chip tracks ball movement and supports VAR decisions. FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the ball’s design and innovation. The ball symbolizes the spirit of collaboration among the three host nations.
🗓️ Countdown to the Tournament Begins
The 2026 World Cup will run from June 11 to July 19. Forty-eight teams will compete across venues in North America. FIFA launched phased ticket sales with over 4.5 million fans entering the presale draw. The official tournament draw will take place in Washington on December 5. Trionda marks a major milestone in the tournament’s preparation.
