Filmmaker Farah Khan recently visited actress Diana Penty’s century-old home in Mumbai and shared her awe during a vlog with her cook, Dilip. The visit gave viewers an exclusive glimpse of Diana’s heritage property, with Farah even comparing the grand interiors to Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic Mannat.
A Walk Through History
During the vlog, Farah explored Diana’s home, admiring antique furniture and vintage architecture. She remarked:
“Please give me a house tour! What is this place? I feel like I’ve travelled back in time to a colonial-era home!”
A carved wooden table with a mirror caught her eye, and upon learning it was over 100 years old, Farah shared,
“This is over 100 years old — still older than me! I’m thrilled to be in a place where things have so much history.”
Diana revealed that the house has been in her family since her great-grandfather’s time, making her the fourth generation to live there.
Farah’s Excitement in the Kitchen
When Farah entered the kitchen, she couldn’t contain her amazement:
“Wow! Look at this kitchen — it’s amazing!”
Her cook, Dilip, agreed it was extraordinary. Diana also mentioned having a farm outside the house, prompting Farah to comment,
“How lovely! I feel like I’ve come to a different place. This doesn’t feel like Mumbai at all.”
Mannat Comparison Stuns Diana
Farah was particularly impressed by the spacious living areas. She exclaimed:
“Not even a dance studio in Lokhandwala is this big! It’s as big as Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat living room.”
Diana was initially taken aback, but Farah insisted on her admiration, joking that she should invite Shah Rukh Khan over, to which Diana warmly replied:
“I’d love to have Shah Rukh here.”
