Bhubaneswar: Excise department has sealed two prominent bars in Bhubaneswar, Ambiance and Barbie, for employing women performers without the necessary permissions. This action comes in the wake of a stern warning issued by Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan against violations of the bar dance ban law.
The crackdown is part of a broader effort to enforce compliance with regulations that prohibit the employment of women in bar performances without proper authorization. The Excise department’s swift action underscores the government’s commitment to upholding the law and ensuring that establishments adhere to the prescribed norms.
Minister Harichandan reiterated the importance of following legal protocols, stating, “We will not tolerate any breaches of the bar dance ban law. Our enforcement teams are vigilant and will continue to take strict actions against any violations.”
