Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Sunday recovered the body of an engineering student from a rented room in the Lingaraj area in Bhubaneswar.
Sources said, the deceased has been identified as Sidharth Nayak a native of Jagatsinghpur district, who was pursuing his B Tech degree in a private engineering college and was staying in a rented house within Lingaraj police station limits of the state capital.
Police said the student was found hanging in his rented room which was locked from the inside. Following this, the body was seized and sent for a post-mortem.
A case has been registered in this connection. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause behind his extreme decision to end life, the police added.
