This new Skill Lab targets Agriculture and Automotive Trades, equipping students with hands-on training in employable skills that complement their academic studies.
The ceremony aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national launch of 200 EMRS Skill Labs via a virtual conference.
Smt. Kumud Khuswa, Deputy Commissioner of NESTS (National Education Society for Tribal Students), Shri T.V.S. Prakash Rao, NESTS Consultant, and Kunal Motiram Chhavan, Jharsuguda District Collector, joined other dignitaries to grace the event.
Jual Oram highlighted skill-based education’s crucial role in the holistic growth of tribal students during his speech. He praised the Government’s push to set up Skill Labs in EMRSs, which arm students with practical expertise and vocational abilities to boost their career opportunities.
The Minister also celebrated EMRS students’ successes in academics, sports, and cultural pursuits, urging them to “dream big and aim high” in every pursuit. After the inauguration, Oram engaged directly with students and parents, absorbing their stories and ambitions.
