The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) recently convened a national conference in New Delhi to address the education, inclusion, and empowerment of minority communities in India.

This landmark event drew policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to deliberate strategies that ensure equitable opportunities and welfare for minorities.

Keynote speeches by Minister of State for Minority Affairs Shri George Kurian and NCM Chairman Shri Iqbal Singh Lalpura outlined the government’s commitment to empowering minorities through welfare schemes and education initiatives. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, the Chief Guest, highlighted the role of the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC) in aiding minority entrepreneurs, with Kerala standing as an exemplary model.

The conference featured two technical sessions that explored challenges and solutions related to minority education and inclusion. An open-house discussion also allowed participants to share perspectives and policy recommendations, furthering collaborative dialogue.

The event concluded with Minister Rijiju emphasizing the government’s motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” reaffirming its dedication to ensuring minorities’ safety and prosperity in all spheres of life.
