The Ekamra Utsav, organized by the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), concluded today at the IDCO Exhibition Ground, marking the end of a vibrant 12-day celebration that began on January 5.
The festival’s final evening was a dazzling showcase of culture, music, and captivating performances. It kicked off with an electrifying act by Gan Akhada, highlighting the traditional Khordha Paika Akhada art form. Performers wowed the audience with breathtaking stunts using Khamb, wooden wheels, and fire displays, earning thunderous applause and cheers.
The energy soared when popular Sambalpuri singer Ruku Sona and dynamic RJ Guddy took the stage, performing crowd favorites like “Lachaka Mani Chora Beni” and “Eta Kana Helare.” Their lively acts had the audience singing, dancing, and celebrating with joy.
Across five BDA parks—Forest Park, IG Park, Madhusudan Park, Buddha Park, and Abdul Kalam Park—renowned Odia celebrities, including Swaraj, Eli, Punam, Priya, and Divya, brought charm and excitement to the Prak Utsav. They entertained visitors with music, dance, and interactive sessions, spreading the festive spirit. Additional attractions such as storytelling, magic shows, and games ensured entertainment for all age groups.
The Flea Market and Food Festival remained major highlights, drawing large crowds with a variety of culinary delights, from fast food to traditional Odia dishes. Local hotels, restaurants, and cafes showcased their culinary expertise, while the Flea Market offered a mix of traditional and modern products, including sarees, ornaments, and handcrafted items. The vibrant lighting and festive decor added a magical touch, creating perfect settings for families to capture memories.
