The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday launched simultaneous raids on multiple hospitals in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar.

The inspections, led by a five-member ED team from Kolkata, focus on NRI quota admissions at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hi-Tech Medical College and Hospital, and Sum Hospital.

The raids are part of an ongoing investigation into the admission processes under the NRI quota, with authorities seeking to uncover potential irregularities.

The inspections are ongoing, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
