Bhubaneswar: The central team from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has informed that the forest fire in Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district has been brought under control.
As per the satellite survey, three places in Ranipat area under Kendumundi range are burning, while rain has doused the flames at some places in the forest, informed the Regional Conservator of Forests (RCCF).
RCCF also explained that the moderate shower in the early hours of Saturday helped douse the wildfire in some parts of Similipal, including the core areas of Naana and Jenabila forest ranges of the park.
