Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made elaborate arrangements at Parking Lot of Esplanade Mall here for 2nd dose of COVID-19 Vaccination for 45+ age group.
In a video message, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhury said that a drive-in vaccination centre is being arranged at Esplanade Mall Parking Lot for second dose COVID-19 Vaccination For 45+ Age Group.
The intending citizens for this facility will have to drive in vehicle to the Esplanade Mall Parking Lot Entry as per the slot booked by them. They will have to wait for their turn inside the vehicle at the Parking Lot and no one will be allowed to come out of the vehicle.
The Vaccination will be done at the Exit Point and after the vaccination at the Exit Point the citizens can drive out and wait outside the Parking Lot for 30 mins for observation and can disperse after that.
The BMC stated that without slot booking no vehicle will be allowed inside the Parking Lot for Vaccination Drive.
Vaccination of people over the age of 18 has begun since May 1. Private hospitals, on the other hand, have stopped vaccinating people over the age of 45. As a result, people who took the first dose of vaccine at a private hospital were confused about where to take the vaccine. Arrangements have been made for them by the BMC.
45+ age group citizens who have taken their 1st dose at Govt/Pvt facility of Bhubaneswar are advised to book by choosing the slot against Centre Esplanade. Bookings for this will begin at 5 p.m. today. As of May 8, there are 400 slots. Vaccination will be closed on Sunday, May 4th. There are 500 slots from May 10th to 15th.
