In light of rising diarrhoea cases, the Jajpur district administration has ordered the closure of all schools and Anganwadi centres till June 24 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of infection.
The directive, issued by the District Collector, comes amid reports of multiple cases and suspected deaths linked to the outbreak. While classes remain suspended, teachers and Anganwadi workers have been instructed to report to campuses and oversee sanitation and hygiene measures.
Health teams, including ASHA and Anganwadi workers, are actively conducting awareness drives by visiting households and distributing safe drinking water. Efforts are being ramped up to purify water sources and ensure communities are informed about preventive steps.
This health alert highlights the urgency for maintaining public hygiene and the importance of swift administrative response during disease outbreaks.
