The makers of Dhurandhar unveiled the film’s explosive trailer on Tuesday in Mumbai, marking the grand comeback of Ranveer Singh. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller has quickly captured attention for its intense action, dramatic visuals, and Ranveer’s fierce new look, which fans say reminds them of his iconic Alauddin Khilji era.
A Dark, Violent, High-Impact Trailer
The trailer introduces audiences to the film’s key characters. It opens with a brutal torture scene featuring Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, also known as the “Angel of Death,” who vows to “bleed India with a thousand cuts.”
We then meet R Madhavan as Sanyal, an Indian intelligence chief with shades inspired by real-life spymaster Ajit Doval. He concludes that infiltrating Pakistan-based terror groups is the only way forward.
Akshaye Khanna joins the narrative as Rehman Dakait, a sharp and unpredictable operative, while Sunny Deol appears as SP Chaudhary Aslam, adding even more chaos to the already violent landscape.
Ranveer Singh as the ‘Wrath of God’
The hero’s entry arrives with Ranveer Singh’s character vowing to “drown their firecrackers with his bomb.” A rapid montage of gunfights, explosions, chases, and close-combat scenes follows—showcasing the film’s gritty action and grand scale.
Just hours before the launch, Ranveer revealed his character poster, describing himself as the “wrath of God.”
Fans Celebrate Ranveer’s Return
The trailer launch was initially postponed due to the Delhi bomb blast and out of respect for veteran actor Dharmendra’s health. But fans agreed the wait was worth it.
Comments calling Ranveer “GOAT,” “unstoppable,” and “back with a bang” flooded social media. Many viewers were also impressed by the film’s powerhouse ensemble cast.
