Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has stormed Netflix rankings worldwide, climbing to the No. 1 spot in Pakistan and several Gulf countries despite being barred from theatrical release in those regions.
Set in Lyari, Karachi, the film revolves around covert intelligence missions inspired by real events such as the Kandahar hijacking, the 2001 Parliament attack, and the 26/11 Mumbai terror strikes. Netflix’s Tudum weekly rankings (Jan 26–Feb 1) reported 7.6 million views, placing Dhurandhar at the top of the global non-English films list.
Indian films have not screened in Pakistani theatres for years due to restrictions, yet Dhurandhar still topped Netflix’s Top 10 Movies list there. The film also leads in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman, while ranking in the Top 10 in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Netflix India confirmed that Dhurandhar is trending at No. 1 in 22 countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Mauritius, and Australia.
Data from FlixPatrol shows the film entered the global Top 10 within 48 hours of its digital debut on January 30. It has since charted in 32 countries, holding Top 5 positions in 23 of them.
The cast features Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Hamza Ali Mazari, alongside R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The film earned over ₹1,300 crore during its theatrical run in India before its OTT release.
The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is slated for theatrical release on March 19, 2026, in multiple languages.
