New Delhi: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urged Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb to take measures for a unique heritage corridor of the Jagannath Temple complex.
Pradhan in a letter to the Gajapati on Friday requested him to coordinate massive public awareness drive to raise funds for the all-round development of the Lord Jagannath Temple at Puri.
He said as the representative of over four crores of Odias, the Gajapati is the moving epitome of Lord Jagannath and added that he has been managing the affairs of the Temple Committee since half a century.
The Union Minister said the Gajapati has been trying his level best for the conservation of the holy shrine and the development of Sevayats. Urging Gajapati for involving various stakeholders in the fundraising campaign, the Union Minister requested him to streamline the process as a mass movement for the whole Hindu society.
