Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday predicted that dense fog is likely to engulf 18 districts in Odisha on Friday.
As per weather bulletin issued by the IMD today, isolated dense fog with visibility between 50 metres to 200 metres is to occur in the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj.
While dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Boudh.
There will be a gradual fall in minimum temperature (night temperature) by 3 to 5 degrees during the next 4 to 5 days over the districts of Odisha, IMD added.
