The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) is set to conduct the first computerized draw of lots for admissions under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) categories for the 2025-26 academic session.
The draw will take place today at 2:30 PM in the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Education, Old Secretariat, Delhi.
Parents and guardians will be able to access the results on the official DoE website, . A total of 2.5 lakh applications have been received for the 38,000 available seats. The income eligibility limit for admission under the EWS category has been increased to Rs 5 lakh.
To ensure transparency, the process will be conducted in the presence of parents and media representatives, with television screens installed for better visibility. Chosen candidates will receive a slip upon document verification to ensure no school can deny admission.
Education Minister Ashish Sood emphasized the importance of a transparent process, stating, “We are committed to ensuring that every eligible child receives their right to education without any hurdles.”
