Delhi: A Delhi court is scheduled to pass order on ED’s plea against Arvind Kejriwal in money laundering case today.
The Enforcement Directorate on Saturday moved to Rouse avenue court and filed a complaint against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for not complying with the summons issued by the agency in the Delhi liquor policy money laundering case.
The ED had made the submission after the court asked why it had not made AAP an accused in the case despite claiming that the bribes earned from allegedly favouring a cartel of liquor dealers were used to fund the Kejriwal-led party’s election campaign in Goa.
The policy was subsequently scrapped and the Delhi lieutenant governor recommended a CBI probe, following which the ED registered a case under the PMLA. ED has already arrested AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh for their alleged involvement in the case.
