A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Sunday afternoon in the Kathajodi River, where two young engineers from Maharashtra drowned while bathing. One has been confirmed dead, and the search for the other continues.

According to sources, the engineers were part of the SCB Medical College and Hospital expansion project, employed by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) India. Four of them ventured into the river near Biren Mitra Park in Markat Nagar within CDA Sector 11, unaware of the strong currents in the deep waters. Tragically, two of them were swept away.
