Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration has allegedly threatened to close down a private hospital in the Silver city after it submitted a request to the authorities for supply of oxygen.
The hospital authorities have alleged that the district authorities are partial in their attitude which is detrimental to healthcare system in this present juncture of coronavirus.
Reports said a small fire mishap had occurred in the hospital in question a few days ago due to electric short circuit. There were no reports of any casualty. Although the hospital authorities had taken all the initiatives to normalize the situation and continued required health services to the patients, the district administration took an abrupt decision to close down it citing a number of reasons which are not related to the incident.
However, after some days, the hospital authorities put things in order and informed the administration that they have adhered to the requisite norms and started providing healthcare services as usual since April 19.
The trouble started when the hospital authorities indented oxygen for the requirement of serious coronavirus patients. The district administration, it is alleged, is threatening to take action against the hospital authorities  as to why they are running it with a shortfall of life saving oxygen.
