The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the CTET 2025 exam date.
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for the February 2026 session will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
CBSE published the CTET 2025-26 notification on October 24, 2025, advising candidates to apply within the stipulated deadline. The exam will be conducted across 132 cities nationwide. A detailed Information Bulletin will be available on October 25, 2025, at .
Steps to apply online for CTET 2026 Exam:
Step 1: Students must visit the official website www.ctet.nic.in to check the exam notification.
Step 2: Click on ‘New Registration’ that will be available on the homepage.
Step 3: A new window will open on the screen where you have to fill in the application form by entering personal details and get the Registration Number.
Step 4: After completing the details, students have to upload photographs and signatures in the prescribed format.
Step 5: Then, students have to pay the online examination fee by e-challan or debit card/credit card/net banking.
Step 6: Submit to proceed and Print the Confirmation page for future reference.
CTET is held annually to assess eligibility for teaching positions in central government schools like KVS and NVS for classes 1 to 8. Last year, the CTET exam was conducted on December 14, 2024, with its notification released on September 17, 2024.
