In a heartwarming moment ahead of their IPL 2025 fixture against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad came together to honor their legendary captain MS Dhoni, who is playing his 400th T20 match.

The celebration unfolded at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on April 25 at 7:30 PM IST.

In a video shared on social media platform X, CSK players congratulated Dhoni in multiple languages—a touching nod to the squad’s diverse roots and tight-knit team spirit. The tribute showcased the deep admiration and respect the players hold for their skipper, whose leadership and calm presence continue to define CSK’s legacy.

Dhoni’s 400th match marks a major milestone in the former India captain’s illustrious career, highlighting his longevity and influence in the game. Despite a tough season for CSK—just two wins in eight matches and a net run rate of -1.392—fans are hopeful that playing at their home ground, Chepauk, will inspire a turnaround.

As the team battles SRH in a dead rubber contest—both sides sitting at the bottom of the points table—the spotlight remains firmly on Dhoni. His experience, both as a tactician and as a unifying force, is seen as pivotal for CSK’s morale and legacy.

Tonight’s clash may not affect playoff standings, but for fans and players alike, it’s a celebration of a cricketing icon’s enduring impact.
