Bhubaneswar: In view of impending Cyclone Yaas, the state government has suspended the COVID-19 testing, vaccination and door-to-door survey in Bhadrak, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj districts from May 25 to 27.
The Health Department has further asked the Collectors of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Keonjhar districts to take a call on Covid-19 testing, vaccination and door-to-door survey.
“In view of the disruption expected to be caused by cyclone ‘Yeas’ the ongoing activities of Covid-19 testing, vaccination and door to door Covid -19 survey will remain suspended in Balasore, Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts from 25th May to 27th May. For the districts of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Keonjhar, the Collectors will decide on suspension of these activities in the areas affected or likely to be affected by the cyclone,” read an order issued by the State Health & Family Welfare Department.
