Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off 84 new 108 Ambulances that will function across the state at the Transport Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.
The new ambulances will be provided to 27 districts of the state for improvement of healthcare services. The Government has allocated Rs 104 crore for the additional vehicles for the next 5 years.
The Free Ambulance service managed by Chikitsa Healthcare is functional with 518 vehicles (108 Ambulance) and 500 Janani Express 102 Ambulances.
