Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan Zoological Park (NZP) and Botanical Garden in the Capital city of Odisha will now remain closed for visitors till further orders.
The decision has been adopted as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Earlier, the zoo and garden were kept out of bounds for the public from May 1 to 15.
Notably, 1,109 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area yesterday.
So far a total of 58,175 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Bhubaneswar, out of which, 11,209 are active cases while 46,658 persons have recovered and 287 persons have succumbed to the deadly infection of COVID-19.
