Class IV Student Raped in Sundargarh, Accused Arrested

A class IV girl was raped while returning from a feast in the Koira police station area in Sundargarh district.


The accused has been identified as Ram Balmuchi. He was arrested and forwarded to the court.

As per reports, on the evening of the 12th of March, Ram Balmuchi tied her hands and legs on a bike and took her to a nearby forest while she was returning home after attending a feast in a nearby forest. After raping her, the accused threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident. After raping the girl, he threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident and left her. The girl, out of fear, did not say anything at home. A day later, on the 13th of March, she told her mother everything. After learning about the incident, there was a dispute between the two families. Later, the villagers decided to resolve the matter. But the father of the minor girl was at the police station. After receiving information about the incident, the Koira police arrested the accused and tried him in court. The minor girl’s doctor has confirmed that the incident is true.
