In a shocking incident, a Class-10 girl student from a government-run residential school in the Chitrakonda area of Malkangiri district delivered a baby boy at the Chitrakonda Sub-Divisional Hospital on Monday evening.
The incident occurred after the student returned from her board examination.
The girl, an inmate of the school’s hostel, had been pregnant for several months without the school authorities noticing her condition. This has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of students in the school.
The girl’s parents have blamed the school authorities for the incident, accusing them of negligence. On the other hand, school teachers have shifted the blame onto the hostel warden.
