Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha on March 5. On that day, PM Modi will land at Bhubaneswar airport in the afternoon by a special air force flight from Telangana state.
From there, PM Modi will travel in a special helicopter to ‘Chandikhol’ in Jajpur district to lay the foundation stones and inaugurate/launch various projects in a program and later attend a public meeting. After completing the program from there, he will return to Bhubaneswar in the evening and take a flight to Kolkata.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena today reviewed the details of the related administrative preparations and security-related administrative supervision arrangements with the senior officials of the state administration and police administration at the Lok Seva Bhawan.
In the meeting, security and related arrangements were discussed at the Bhubaneswar Airport, Chandikhol Helipad and during the movement of the Prime Minister to the event venues.
For the safety of the Prime Minister, arrangements for his emergency temporary accommodation, stage security checks, carcade arrangements, vehicle required for various services, fitness of the helicopter to be used, ambulance for medical treatment, preparation of hospitals near the event venue with special arrangements. It was discussed in detail in the meeting about the necessary repairs and maintenance of the roads to be used by the VIPs, sanitation, and ensuring uninterrupted power supply at the event venue.
The Chief Secretary has emphasized ensuring the provision of 2 additional generators along with the required generator facility at the program sites and the appointment of 2 operators to manage it at each location. Uninterrupted drinking water supply at the event venue, barricading system, required pass system, information dissemination system by Information and Public Relations Department, fire service system and compliance of Covid guidelines as per State Department and Health and Family Welfare Department regulations of Central Government were discussed in the meeting and action taken accordingly.
A control room will work on behalf of the state home department to conduct the visit program of the Hon’ble Prime Minister in an orderly manner. The concerned officials have been instructed to carefully check and study the program and the helipad site in advance for safety.
