Bhubaneswar: Charu Dhwaj Aggarwal takes over as the new Inspector General (IG) of Frontier Headquarters Special Operations (FTR HQ SPL OPS) in Odisha/Bengaluru upon his elevation to the rank of Inspector General.
Aggarwal is one of the most decorated and professionally competent officers in the BSF, bringing with him an illustrious career and a wealth of experience.
A distinguished officer from the 1989 batch of the Assistant Commandant (Direct Entry), Shri Aggarwal has made significant contributions to national security. Notably, he had the privilege of establishing the BSF’s presence in the troubled district of Malkangiri during the peak of Naxal violence in Odisha. As the Commandant of the BSF battalion, he played a pivotal role in restoring peace and stability in the region, earning accolades for his leadership and strategic acumen.
Now, as he assumes the charge of IG of Odisha Frontier, there is a palpable sense of déjà vu.
